Sample Syllabus for Advanced Chart Study Level 3
Now that you’ve begun to get a handle on reading the birth chart we’re going to compare charts. The most popular application of this is with couples romantically linked, but it’s also useful for parent/child relationships and any other close encounters. Synastry means “like stars”, the root word “astre” means star, as in disaster (literally “unstarred” or undone by the stars; similarly catastrophe = crossed stars and asterisk = starred.) Ellias taught that composite charts are a fiction and when he explained why it made sense, so synastry is the only method I use for comparing charts. Along with the technical details we’ll study this semester there’s a need to tune into the magical connection between individuals, which is subtler and more challenging to decipher, but plays a big part in relational readings.
Class 1: Introduction to Synastry plus Inner Planet Aspects between charts. Each class this semester will have the same structure: the first ninety minutes will be class content. The final half hour will feature two students giving ten-minute readings, except for the first class. Blind Pull to arrange buddy matches and student reading dates.
