The Seers – by Suzy Norris

Digging Through Shadows To Find the Light

On January 29th, 2025 the Dragon gave way to the Snake, a creature most depth-oriented, hypnotic and intense.

This year, when meeting external challenges—especially relationship challenges—be wary not to get so glued to external drama that you ignore what’s brewing in the depths of the soul.

Desire is a prime motivating force in snake years, so will be on the rise, which can harness blocked passion and unconsummated need, to aim them at what your soul desires.

The human shadow is a messy but nutrient-rich place when you shed old identities and worn-out roles.

Letting go of what you used to desire may be the strongest snake medicine now to renew your spirit, and help you craft an identity based more on truth than ego.

Transformation is gathering root force below the ground of social appearance, where people are sick and tired of being pushed down; kundalini long repressed is coiled and ready for ignition sparks of a profound new passion to set it off.

On February 11 Sun Square Uranus, pitts your higher nature against your ego. Find the cosmic path that brings your magic down to earth and let it rip.

On February 4 Jupiter went direct in 12° Gemini, which conjures the ancient karmic battle between the dark muck of self-serving illusion and the bright promise of a creative wind that spurs our species forward.

Regardless of external blows and relationship challenges in store this year, cosmic forces are pushing us to strive for genuine awakening, which transcends smarmy memes.

Collaborators, friends and peers—the realm of the Twins—can help you shed your old skin and wrap yourself around the things you love rather than the things that hold you back.

Mark Borax

About Mark Borax

Mark Borax has been a nomadic poet his whole life. In the late seventies he traveled the U.S. and Canada performing and selling his poetry. In the mid-eighties, Mark was befriended by his adolescent idol, writer Ray Bradbury, who became his literary godfather, believing in Mark's writing even though it was taking forever. In 1984 he became a comic book writer and the managing editor of Comics Interview magazine. In 1998 Mark rode his Harley Davidson Low Rider, through the U.S. and Europe, stopping for a year in the Tuscan countryside of Northern Italy. Mark's first book, 2012: Crossing the Bridge to the Future, is a bestseller that describes the author's seven-year apprenticeship to visionary astrologer Ellias Lonsdale. Under the redwoods in northern California they created a mystery school which birthed a new form of astrology called Star Genesis, that helps people contact their core nature and life purpose. Mark's new book (co-authored with Ellias) is a Cosmic Weather Report that inspires readers to rethink the whole purpose of humankind and bring on a new future.
